Retreats and Groups
Connection,
Clarity,
Creativity
Don’t just talk about change.
Practice working differently together.
What I Do
I design and facilitate creative learning spaces where people reconnect with themselves and each other; and build understanding, trust and clarity.
Team Development | Strategic Planning | Collective Sensemaking | Conflict Resolution| Leadership Development | Change and Transition
Why It Matters
We are all working in circumstances of uncertainty, contact, change, and complexity. Budgets, markets, and regulatory environments are shifting, AI is revolutionizing work with unforeseeable outcomes, and everything is moving really fast.
Its a biological reality that human beings don’t always operate at their best in these circumstances. When teams slow down and connect, communication strengthens, decisions become clearer, and there is joy and ease in collaboration.
This isn’t just a nice to have -
the most effective way to lead in constant change.
My Approach
My learning design brings people into connection and practice:
Connection → building trust, safety, and openness so people feel ready to learn and lead.
Creativity → using stories, reflection, and innovative exercises to spark fresh insight.
Active Learning → experiential activities and coaching that turn theory into lived experience.
See The REALITY Practice for signature experiences and offerings.
I design a facilitation that meets your specific needs.
Always: creative, active learning experiences that invite groups to learn through play and connection - aligning attention and intention through reflection, dialogue, and embodied practice.
Your team leaves feeling more connected, clearer about what’s possible together, and energized to move toward success, together.

Group Coaching
Who this is for
I host group coaching for:
Young people and emerging adults exploring identity, possibility, and what comes next
Parents of neurodivergent kids looking for shared learning, connection, and support from people who get it
Teams and leadership groups developing their collective capacity to navigate change, tension, or complexity
Leaders across organizations facing similar challenges and learning alongside peers
To start group coaching
Gather a group or team and get in touch or look out for scheduled groups on my channels.
The work can stand alone or complement facilitation. When a group is ready to move from learning and reflection into collective decisions, action, or structural change, facilitation can carry the work forward.
For small groups or teams who share an experience, challenge, or common goal. A facilitated space to reflect, learn, experiment, and grow - with the insight and support of people alongside you.
Group coaching combines the depth of coaching with the power of not doing it alone. Participants learn alongside people who get it - sharing lived experience, seeing themselves reflected in others, and discovering insights that they may not have found on their own.
And because many of the challenges we face aren't individual problems at all, but relational and systemic patterns, working together lets us see - and shift - with a wider perspective.
The result is more than individual growth: shared capacity, deeper connection, and change that ripples beyond the room.
How it works
No two groups are the same.
Sessions respond to what's alive in the group - balancing depth, practical application, and the needs that emerge.
Depending on the context, we might work with:
Shared inquiry & sensemaking
Reflection & mentoring
Relational skills & communication
Tension, conflict & repair
Vision & alignment
Nervous system awareness

Gillian led a brilliant workshop for our team on mindfulness and values during a staff retreat. This workshop was presented in a different way than any other workshop I’ve attended, allowing myself and the entire team to think about concepts they were already familiar with in a new way.
Gillian’s approach was innovative, collaborative, and welcoming, fostering an environment where all team members were willing and open to sharing their thoughts (which doesn’t always happen!). Through conversations with various members of my team, I know that the whole team greatly appreciated Gillian’s workshop.

Some of the most powerful parts of the workshop were the interactive games that focused on body language, challenged our conventional perceptions of others, and prompted us to re-evaluate our usual thought processes. One of the activities involved analyzing how our core emotions influence our actions and behaviours. The workshop gave me the tools and awareness I needed to show up differently as a manager. It was eye-opening to see how much we communicate without words, and how these signals are interpreted by others in both my work and personal life. After this workshop, I have been more intentional in how I lead, listen, and respond. It has helped me create space for more honest and open conversations and to build trust within my team and my relationships.
I found Gillian’s extensive leadership expertise to be both inspiring and motivating. I look forward to participating in additional workshops that will enhance my ability to connect effectively with others and to establish a meaningful presence.

I participated in a workshop led by Gillian. From the very beginning, her energy felt beautiful to me. The motivational activities she proposed were varied, and she knew how to channel the essence of our group. I feel there was a time for everything: we had moments for group and personal reflection, for getting to know our colleagues (in my case, as I was new to the group), moments of humor, and a good balance with rest.
I felt truly listened to by Gillian, who took the time to make thoughtful comments about what was happening within our group. What I liked the most was the very personal way in which she communicated with us, and through which—at least for me—she made me feel like part of the team.
